Insomnia

As we progress into this millennium the stresses and strains of everyday life are most definitely taking their toll on us. Mental health issues caused by demanding pressures of work and home lives have a massive impact on our ability to relax and ultimately sleep.

Many sufferers complain about lying awake at night for hours worrying about what has happened during the day, or what they have to accomplish the following day. Others awake very early in the morning unable to return to sleep however hard they try.

A staggering 30-50% of the general population is affected by insomnia, and 10% have chronic insomnia, a much longer term and serious disorder. If you are female you surprisingly have 40% more chance of suffering with some type of insomnia than men are. This may be largely due to hormonal imbalance, pregnancy, and post natal issues and body changes.

During your consultation we shall look the different types of insomnia and diagnose which follows your pattern. We shall also assess your diet, exercise and lifestyle regimes and offer guidance in each of these areas to aid sleep.

We will teach you appropriate techniques that can aid sleep and re-balance your thoughts and feelings which could be the reason for the disruption each night.

Ultimately, we will work towards helping you finally achieving a good nights sleep.

“I felt so bad I didn’t know which way to turn. I had no idea your work could be so effective, it really has helped me.“

“I was obsessed with clocks. I every night I woke at 3.50am and could never get back to sleep. As a taxi driver this was really affecting my work. I don’t know what Mark did but it doesn’t happen anymore and my life has changed for the better.“
