Mark Shields 

Managing Director

Mark is the Founder and Managing Director of The Life Practice Group. He has appeared regularly on the radio and TV and is a monthly columnist for the Life Magazine Group. He has also written and produced his own successful range of “Home Hypnotherapy” audiobooks which are available at Waterstones bookshops throughout the UK.

Prior to setting out on his own he worked in the corporate arena for twenty years, starting from the bottom and worked his way to the top in the Financial Industry. He has achieved tremendous success during his career, with his penultimate role as Head of Channel Islands Banking for Barclays based in Jersey.

He has trained his courses for many years now and his students include world champion sportsmen, government officials, TV presenters and celebrity musicians. His training style and delivery of the course content is unique and well known in the personal development industry which is what makes the courses so popular.

Karen Webb

Co-Founder/Marketing Manager

Karen’s role is to make sure everything behind the scenes runs smoothly from product design and production to event management.  She has a degree in Design & Media Management and has worked in Television, PR and for the Jersey Heritage Trust.

She set up the Life Practice Group with her husband Mark after they both decided to have a change of career. She is also currently studying for a BSc in Nutritional Medicine with a view to offering Nutritional Therapy to the Life Practice Clinics.

Alison Darby 

Behavioural Change Consultant

Alison has many years of experience in working with people at all levels, she has worked successfully with politicians, celebrities, ambassadors, and dignitaries from all over the world. Her claim to fame was having tea with Tony Blair at No.10 and discussing his newborn son Leo’s bedtime routines.

 Her friendly, approachable manner comes from years of working with people from all walks of life. She lives locally with her three young children and enjoys renovating delapidated houses.

Terry Lait

National Head of  Product and Distribution.

Terry has achieved a successful career in senior management and business development for over 20 years. He now is the Life Practice Leading Consultant responsible for the the distribution of The Life Practice  audio book range. His success includes distributing nationally the “Home Hypnotherapy” Audiobook range to Waterstone’s, Foyles , Blackwells, Play, Amazon, WH Smith and Public libraries.  Terry also acts as Mark’s Managing Agent and he has also worked successfully in the past with Barry Norman and Mike Reid.
