Terms of Business
For students, clients, course delegates and corporate customers
| These Terms of Business apply when you enrol on, book, purchase or attend a Life Practice Global course, programme, consultation, clinic service or training event. They are separate from our Website Terms of Engagement, Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy. |
1. About these terms
These Terms of Business set out the basis on which Life Practice Global provides courses, training, coaching, clinic services, consultations, student support and related services.
By booking, enrolling, making payment, attending a course, accessing a student portal or otherwise engaging our services, you confirm that you have read, understood and accepted these terms.
Where a course, service, membership body or third-party provider has additional specific terms, those terms will also apply. If there is any inconsistency, the specific written terms supplied for that service will take priority.
2. Life Practice Global
Life Practice Global is the trading name used for the Life Practice group of services, including training, coaching, wellbeing, personal development and related professional programmes.
Any historic references to The NLP Coaching Company, NLP Coaching Co, Life Practice Academy or related training names should now be read as references to Life Practice Global unless a separate written agreement states otherwise.
3. Enrolment and contract formation
A contract is formed when we accept your booking, confirm your place, receive payment or provide access to course or service materials, whichever happens first.
Bookings may be made online, by telephone, by email, by invoice or following a consultation. You are responsible for ensuring the course, programme or service is suitable for your needs before committing.
We may decline or cancel an enrolment where we reasonably believe the course or service is unsuitable, there has been a failure to disclose relevant information, payment has not been made, or professional standards may be affected.
4. Suitability and personal responsibility
You are responsible for deciding whether a course, programme, consultation or service is appropriate for your personal, professional, financial and health circumstances.
We recommend that you raise any relevant concerns before booking, including health, accessibility, learning needs, mental health history, trauma history, financial concerns, travel limitations or technical limitations.
Our courses and services are educational, developmental and supportive. They are not a substitute for medical, psychological, legal, financial or other regulated professional advice.
5. Fees, payment and payment plans
Fees must be paid in accordance with the payment terms agreed at the time of booking. Where a deposit is required, your place is not secured until the deposit or agreed initial payment has been received.
Where we agree a payment plan, this is a fixed commitment to pay the total course or service fee over an agreed period. It is not a subscription and cannot be cancelled simply because you decide not to continue.
If a payment fails, you must contact us promptly. We may suspend course access, student portal access, tuition, assessment, certification or further attendance until the account is brought up to date.
Accreditation, certification or completion confirmation may be withheld until all fees and any agreed charges have been paid in full.
We reserve the right to recover unpaid fees and reasonable recovery costs where payment terms are breached.
6. Prices, offers and promotions
Prices are confirmed at the time of booking and may change at any time before a booking is accepted.
Promotions, scholarships, discounts, early-bird rates and special offers are discretionary, subject to availability and may be amended or withdrawn at any time before acceptance.
Once your booking has been accepted and receipted, your agreed price will not be increased for that booking unless you later request a change, upgrade, extension or additional service.
7. Cancellation, refunds and cooling-off rights
Your cancellation, refund and transfer rights will depend on the type of course or service booked, how it is delivered, when you cancel and whether digital content, course materials, tuition or services have already been provided.
Where a statutory cooling-off period applies, it will run from the date your booking is accepted. If you request or accept immediate access to digital content, student portals, course materials, tuition or services during that period, we may deduct a reasonable amount for the value already supplied.
Deposits, accessed digital materials, completed services, third-party courses, assessments, certificates and late cancellations may be non-refundable where permitted by law and as explained at booking.
Failure to attend a scheduled course, assessment, consultation or training event may be treated as cancellation without refund.
Refund requests must be made in writing to info@lifepractice.co.uk or any other address we provide for that specific booking.
8. Transfers and changes to course dates
We will consider reasonable requests to transfer a booking to a later course date, but transfers are not guaranteed and are subject to availability, timing, course type, payment status and any costs already incurred.
Transfers requested close to the course start date may be refused, particularly where places are limited, materials have been issued or we cannot reasonably resell the place.
If we agree a transfer, the original cancellation terms and payment obligations continue to apply unless we confirm otherwise in writing.
9. Online, virtual and in-person learning
For online and virtual learning, you are responsible for ensuring that you have suitable internet access, hardware, software, browser access and a suitable learning environment.
We are not responsible if you are unable to attend or access a live session, student portal or course material because of your own internet, device, software, browser or technical issue.
For in-person training, you are responsible for travel, accommodation, personal expenses and any third-party cancellation costs unless we expressly agree otherwise in writing.
10. Course attendance, conduct and professional standards
Students and delegates are expected to behave professionally, respectfully and ethically at all times.
We may remove, suspend or refuse certification to any student or delegate whose behaviour is disruptive, unsafe, dishonest, discriminatory, abusive, unethical, unprofessional or damaging to the learning environment, staff, students, clients, venues or the reputation of Life Practice Global.
Where a student is removed for misconduct, non-disclosure, non-attendance or breach of these terms, course fees may be forfeited and no refund will be due.
11. Health, wellbeing and disclosure
Some courses and practice exercises may involve coaching, hypnotherapy, NLP, mindfulness, reflective work, role play, personal development, emotional processing or similar activities.
You must disclose any relevant physical health condition, mental health condition, trauma history, medication issue, disability, accessibility need or other factor that may affect your ability to participate safely or appropriately.
You should not volunteer for demonstrations, practice sessions or personal work unless you are comfortable doing so and have considered whether participation is appropriate for you.
We may recommend an alternative learning format, defer attendance, request further information or decline enrolment where we reasonably believe participation may not be suitable.
12. Assessment, certification and accreditation
Where a course includes assessment, certification is subject to attendance, participation, completion of required work, satisfactory assessment and payment of all fees.
Assessment may include observation, role play, case studies, written work, practice sessions, reflective assignments, exams, tutor review or other evidence of competence.
If further assessment, reassessment, duplicate certification, course extension or additional tutor support is required, additional charges may apply.
Accrediting bodies, membership routes and external recognition can change for reasons outside our control. We will use reasonable efforts to maintain appropriate accreditation routes but cannot guarantee the continued operation, criteria or recognition of any external body.
13. Course materials and intellectual property
All course manuals, videos, handouts, recordings, slides, student portal content, models, exercises, documents, assessment materials and training frameworks remain the intellectual property of Life Practice Global or its licensors.
You may use course materials for your own personal learning and, where relevant, your own professional development. You must not copy, share, resell, teach, publish, upload, licence, reproduce or commercially exploit our materials without written permission.
Confidential training content, student information, client examples, group discussions and practice session material must not be disclosed outside the course environment.
14. Recording, photography and marketing material
Courses, events or sessions may include photographs, video, screenshots, recordings or testimonials for training, quality, security or marketing purposes where appropriate permission has been obtained.
If you do not wish to appear in photographs, recordings or marketing material, you must notify us in writing before the course or event begins.
Students must not record, photograph or publish course content, students, trainers or practice sessions without permission from Life Practice Global and the individuals involved.
15. Complaints
If you are unhappy with any aspect of your course or service, please raise the matter with your course director, tutor or contact person as soon as possible so we can try to resolve it informally.
If the matter cannot be resolved informally, complaints must be submitted in writing, clearly setting out the facts, relevant dates, people involved and the outcome requested.
We aim to acknowledge written complaints within 5 working days and will investigate fairly, proportionately and confidentially.
Complaints should normally be raised during the course or service period, or within 14 days of completion, so that they can be properly investigated.
16. Changes, postponement or cancellation by us
We aim to deliver courses and services as advertised, but we may need to make reasonable changes to dates, trainers, venues, delivery method, content, timetable or materials.
If a course is under-subscribed, affected by trainer illness, venue issues, safety concerns, technology failure, public disruption, government restrictions, loss of accreditation route or other circumstances outside our control, we may postpone, reschedule, move the course online, offer an alternative format or cancel the course.
Where we make a significant change, we will communicate with affected students and seek to offer a reasonable alternative wherever possible.
17. Force majeure
We are not liable for delay, non-performance, cancellation or disruption caused by events outside our reasonable control, including illness, extreme weather, transport disruption, pandemic, epidemic, terrorism, war, civil unrest, venue closure, government action, technology failure, supplier failure or accrediting body changes.
In such circumstances, we will take reasonable steps to minimise disruption and provide an alternative route where practical.
18. Post-course responsibility
After graduation or course completion, you are responsible for maintaining your own competence, professional insurance, supervision, CPD, legal compliance, membership obligations and ethical practice.
Life Practice Global is not responsible for your business results, client outcomes, professional conduct, insurance position or regulatory compliance after completion of training.
19. Data protection and confidentiality
We will handle personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection law.
Students and clients must respect the confidentiality of other participants, clients, trainers and course discussions. Personal information shared in a course, group, supervision, consultation or practice setting must not be disclosed without consent unless required by law or safeguarding obligations.
20. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so.
Subject to that, Life Practice Global is not liable for indirect loss, loss of profit, loss of opportunity, business interruption, personal decisions, travel costs, accommodation costs, third-party charges, technical failure outside our control or outcomes arising from your use or misuse of course or service content.
You remain responsible for your own decisions, actions, participation, learning, practice, client work and professional use of any skills taught.
